What is Urinary Incontinence?

Urinary Incontinence is the involuntary, unpredictable leakage of urine. In simple words, it means a person urinates when they do not want to. Urinary Incontinence occurs when you lose control over your urinary sphincter. It is a common occurrence in older adults and women who have given birth or have undergone menopause. It is a medical condition that can affect your social, emotional and psychological life.

JOGO Therapy is clinically proven and the modality used by JOGO is the first line of treatment recommended by American Urological Association. JOGO treatment for urinary incontinence comprises 1 session per week for 8 weeks - duration of each session is 45min. JOGO Therapy can be administered either in the clinic or at home via teletherapy session. All sessions are conducted by JOGO-certified pelvic floor therapists.

What Causes Urinary Incontinence or Pelvic Floor disorders?

Urinary incontinence is a symptom rather than a disease that occurs due to medical problems or lifestyle habits.

Common Pelvic Floor Conditions

JOGO Therapy available in clinics or at your home.
Stress Incontinence
Activities like exercising, coughing, laughing, or sneezing put pressure on the bladder and causes urine leakage. It is common among younger and middle-aged women.
Urge Incontinence
The sudden urge to urinate and inability to hold it until the person finds a restroom. It is common for diabetes, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Stroke, and Multiple Sclerosis.
Voiding Dysfunction
Inconsistent coordination within the urinary tract results in incomplete relaxation or over-activity of the pelvic floor muscles causing pain and difficulty in initiating urine flow.
Male Sexual Dysfunction
Common issues like erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation caused by the poor health of the pelvic floor muscles.
Mixed Incontinence
The person experiences more than one type of incontinence, often a combination of stress and urge incontinence.
Involuntary spasms or contraction of the vaginal muscles resulting in mild or severe pain that hinders normal sexual activity.
Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP)
Tissues and muscles supporting the pelvic organs become weak or loose causing one or multiple pelvic organs to drop into the vagina or press in or out of it.

A screen displays when and how your muscles contract or relax. The feedback can be used for therapeutic training and to measure your progress.
